There is an app for that!

Puerto Vallarta’s yellow taxis you have undoubtably seen around town are modernizing a bit!

Most likely in a response to the increase of visitors and locals alike using UBER, there is now an app for getting to and from with yellow taxis. You can pay for your ride with a credit card through the app or in cash as you always have – a big win for those who never seem to have the right change like us! Unlike UBER however Yellow Taxi PV will maintain fixed rates so you’ll always know how much your ride will be regardless of any special events, weather, traffic, etc. There are also no cancellation fees which is fabulous for when plans change.

For now, there are only a small portion of the cities 1,700 taxis participating but the number is expected to increase as user growth does.
